    Dr. Berney is a consummate professional. I was referred to him for a hernia and underwent laparoscopic surgery shortly after. Dr. Berney took the time during my initial consultation and following surgery to answer every question I had, in detail. Nothing felt rushed or clinical. In fact, we spoke at length on a few occasions and his interest in both my recovery as well as continually improving this specialty field was evident. I don’t know the intricacies of surgery, but I believe his skill and technique is excellent. Notwithstanding what I expected post-op, I was up and moving the next day and good to go by the fourth. Most importantly, I haven’t felt any residual pain since. I’d highly recommend Dr. Berney.

From the initial consultation, in hospital and with all my follow up visits I have felt well informed, comfortable and supported. Prof Berney has a lovely manor, and no question goes unanswered.     I had developed gallstones which caused very painful gallstone attacks. I decided to see Prof. Chris Berney as my surgeon to perform a cholecystectomy (Gallbladder removal surgery). I am very happy that I did seek out Prof. Berney, he is a brilliant surgeon, very knowledgeable and kind. He took his time explaining the procedure in detail and is very caring. I did experience some uncommon complications post surgery and I am very grateful that I was under his care during this time. I have now made a full recovery and I can’t recommend Prof Berney enough, he’s the best in his field!

    I always take second or even third opinion before I decide who will do the surgery for me. After my first appointment with Profesor Chris Berney I was certain this is the doctor which I can trust. He is very professional, he listen patiently, he does not rush, he answers descriptively the questions, shows alternatives and present results of his previous patients. He visited me twice after surgery with full explanation. After four weeks from my surgery I started full exercises, riding bicycle and work in the garden. No pain and no sign of my physical bulging hernia. I strongly recommend Professor Berney. We need more doctors like him. Very happy patient - Andrew N.
